Un purgeur ou une soupape de décharge sert à une accélération plus rapide lors du passage de rapport avec des voitures turbo. Lors de la commutation, de la reprise ou de la libération de gaz, une surpression est créée dans le système pneumatique. Avec un purgeur, l'excès de pression du turbo est éliminé du système d'admission, de sorte que votre turbo reste à la vitesse. Lorsque vous appuyez à nouveau sur la pédale d'accélérateur, le rétablissement de la pression turbo prend moins de temps.
