De nieuwe Maxximus MXZ serie subwoofers zijn er, beiden in 12 inch uitvoering en de keuze is er voor een dvc 4 ohms of een dvc 2 ohms voor zodat voor ieder versterker type een aansluiting mogelijk is. De MXZ vult het gat op tussen de MXT en de MXS Maxximus woofers met een vermogen van 1000 watts RMS. Ook compleet verkrijgbaar met bas reflex kist, enkele bandpass of dubbele bandpass kist. De MXZ-12Dual is de dubbele bandpass kist 4+4 ohms variant en kan naar 2 of 8 ohms geschakeld worden voor een versterker. Dit is tevens de allerzwaarste kant en klare kist die Hifonics ooit heeft ontwikkeld.
