The EVO3 intercooler kit for Audi RS3 8P is a further development of the previously known EVO2 intercooler kit.
The high performance intercooler has the following net dimensions (515mm x 367[274]mm x 95mm), providing a 120% larger flow area and 142% more charge air volume compared to the original intercooler. The newly developed Competition high-performance mesh grants sufficient airflow to the adjacent components, such as the water cooler, and is also very lightweight. The end boxes of the charge air cooler are made of cast aluminum and were optimized under flow analyses in the CAD system. With the help of incorporated air baffles, in the entrance, is provided for a uniform filling of the intercooler. The result is excellent cooling properties with minimal back pressure. Thus, this kit is exactly the right thing for racing. The intercooler and the original crossmember form a stable unit and weighs only 11.2kg thanks to the new Competition high-performance mesh. The assembly is done at the original mounting points and is easy to perform(1:1 exchange). An optimal cooling of the charged air with a significant increase in performance! The connection diameter is 68mm on both sides.

WAGNER Intercoolers zijn leverbaar als Performance en Competition. Het verschil zit in het type gebruikte gaas. Bij de Performance is dat "Bar & Plate" en bij de Competition "Tube Fin".
Daarnaast zijn er nog 3 verschillende volumes: EVO1, EVO2 en EVO3.
EVO1 is ontwikkeld om gebruikt te worden in combinatie met de originele turbolader met als resultaat een zeer efficiënte koeling van de inlaatlucht. EVO2 en EVO3 hebben een grotere volume en gaan prima samen met de toename van inlaatlucht na een turbolader upgrade. Afhankelijk van het systeem worden ook de in- en uitlaat diameters vergroot.
Deze intercoolers worden met de benodigde siliconen slangen geleverd.
