The revised Competition Gen.2 intercooler kit for the VAG models with the 2.0T(F)SI 1st & 2nd generation engine.
The Competition intercooler has the following mesh dimensions (610mm x 440mm x 65mm / 17.45L), providing a 10% larger flow area and 50% more intercooler volume compared to the original Audi S3 intercooler. The newly developed Competition high-performance mesh still grants enough airflow to the adjacent components, such as the water cooler, and is also very light (S3 OEM 8kg / WAGNERTUNING 9.2kg) . CAD developed freeform end boxes with incorporated cast aluminum air baffle for best possible internal air distribution.
The CNC machined hose connections were enlarged to Ø67mm , so this kit comes with matching silicone hoses.
Overall this intercooler has far from less back pressure than the stock cooler.
In addition, all our intercoolers have an anti-corrosion coating with heat conduction properties. This guarantees optimal cooling with a significant increase in performance.
Installation is done by replacing the OEM intercooler and is easy to perform.

WAGNER Intercoolers zijn leverbaar als Performance en Competition. Het verschil zit in het type gebruikte gaas. Bij de Performance is dat "Bar & Plate" en bij de Competition "Tube Fin".
Daarnaast zijn er nog 3 verschillende volumes: EVO1, EVO2 en EVO3.
EVO1 is ontwikkeld om gebruikt te worden in combinatie met de originele turbolader met als resultaat een zeer efficiënte koeling van de inlaatlucht. EVO2 en EVO3 hebben een grotere volume en gaan prima samen met de toename van inlaatlucht na een turbolader upgrade. Afhankelijk van het systeem worden ook de in- en uitlaat diameters vergroot.
Deze intercoolers worden met de benodigde siliconen slangen geleverd.
