The 2.0 liter B48B20 and 3.0 liter B58B30M0 turbo engine of the specified BMW models is equipped with an indirect charge air cooling circuit. As a result, the charge air cooling process is not carried out (as usual) using the ambient air as a cooling medium, but with the aid of a separate cooling water circuit. A reduction in the cooling water temperature can therefore be directly equated with improved charge air cooling performance. This is exactly where the advantages of the WAGNERTUNING Upgrade water cooler come into play. The newly developed competition racing mesh of the WAGNERTUNING high performance water cooler increases the cooling volume of the standard water cooler by 117%. The ratio between inner and outer cooling surface generates a maximum heat transfer and at the same time allows the adjacent components (e.g. the engine water cooler behind it) sufficient air flow for its heat exchange. Furthermore, with the help of the increased amount of cooling water, the entire system thermics can be kept at a lower level over a longer period of time.

All WAGNERTUNING water coolers are equipped with a heat-conducting anti-corrosion coating, so that a lasting cooling effect is ensured. The installation of the system is also uncomplicated and plug & play with the help of our installation instructions.
