Intercooler Upgrade Kit EVO 2 for Ford Mustang 2.3l EcoBoost 2015+ (including facelift).
The high performance intercooler has the following net dimensions (535mm x392mm x95mm = 19.9L). This results in a 175% larger flow area, as well as 226% more charge air volume compared to the original intercooler. The new Competition high performance mesh still allows enough airflow to the adjacent components, such as the water cooler. The total weight of the intercooler is, despite its size, only 14.2kg. The cast aluminum end boxes were created in CAD and optimized for the best possible internal airflow using CFD simulations.
An air guide integrated into the end box allows for homogeneous filling of the Competition high performance mesh. The inlets and outlets of the intercooler were enlarged to Ø 70mm. In addition, this kit includes a matching carbon air guide to ensure optimum flow to the intercooler. The high performance intercooler has a pressure resistance of up to 6bar (tested). Thus, this kit is also suitable for racing. In addition, all our intercoolers are coated with an anti-corrosion coating with excellent heat conduction properties. WAGNER Intercoolers zijn leverbaar als Performance en Competition. Het verschil zit in het type gebruikte gaas. Bij de Performance is dat "Bar & Plate" en bij de Competition "Tube Fin".
Daarnaast zijn er nog 3 verschillende volumes: EVO1, EVO2 en EVO3.
EVO1 is ontwikkeld om gebruikt te worden in combinatie met de originele turbolader met als resultaat een zeer efficiënte koeling van de inlaatlucht. EVO2 en EVO3 hebben een grotere volume en gaan prima samen met de toename van inlaatlucht na een turbolader upgrade. Afhankelijk van het systeem worden ook de in- en uitlaat diameters vergroot.
Deze intercoolers worden met de benodigde siliconen slangen geleverd.
