The 4.0L V8 biturbo engine of the E63 (S) models from AMG is equipped with an indirect charge air cooling circuit. As a result, the cooling process of the charge air is not realized (as usual) with the ambient air as a cooling medium, but is carried out with the help of a separate cooling water circuit. A reduction in the cooling water temperature can therefore be directly equated with improved charge air cooling performance. This is exactly where the advantages of the WAGNERTUNING Upgrade water coolers come into play.
The newly developed competition racing grids of the WAGNERTUNING high-performance water coolers increase the cooling volume of the standard water coolers by a total of 100%. The ratio between inner and outer cooling surface generates a maximum heat transfer and at the same time allows the adjacent components (e.g. the engine water cooler behind it) sufficient air flow for its heat exchange. Furthermore, the water coolers are equipped with a heat-conducting anti-corrosion coating to ensure a long-lasting cooling effect. The installation of the system is also uncomplicated and plug & play with the help of our installation instructions.

WAGNER Intercoolers zijn leverbaar als Performance en Competition. Het verschil zit in het type gebruikte gaas. Bij de Performance is dat "Bar & Plate" en bij de Competition "Tube Fin".
Daarnaast zijn er nog 3 verschillende volumes: EVO1, EVO2 en EVO3.
EVO1 is ontwikkeld om gebruikt te worden in combinatie met de originele turbolader met als resultaat een zeer efficiënte koeling van de inlaatlucht. EVO2 en EVO3 hebben een grotere volume en gaan prima samen met de toename van inlaatlucht na een turbolader upgrade. Afhankelijk van het systeem worden ook de in- en uitlaat diameters vergroot.
Deze intercoolers worden met de benodigde siliconen slangen geleverd.
