The 4.0L V8 biturbo engine of AMG's E63 (S) models is equipped with an indirect charge-air cooling circuit. As a result, the charge air cooling process is not realized (as usual) with the ambient air as the cooling medium, but is carried out using a separate cooling water circuit. A reduction in the cooling water temperature can therefore be directly equated with improved cooling performance of the charge air. This is exactly where the advantages of the WAGNERTUNING Upgrade water cooler come into play. The newly developed Competition - Racing Mesh of the WAGNERTUNING High Performance water cooler increases the cooling volume of the standard water cooler by a total of 210 %. The ratio of inner to outer cooling surface ensures maximum heat transfer. In addition, the water cooler features a heat-conducting anti-corrosion coating for long-lasting cooling. Installation of the system is also uncomplicated and plug and play with the help of our installation manual.

WAGNER Intercoolers zijn leverbaar als Performance en Competition. Het verschil zit in het type gebruikte gaas. Bij de Performance is dat "Bar & Plate" en bij de Competition "Tube Fin".
Daarnaast zijn er nog 3 verschillende volumes: EVO1, EVO2 en EVO3.
EVO1 is ontwikkeld om gebruikt te worden in combinatie met de originele turbolader met als resultaat een zeer efficiënte koeling van de inlaatlucht. EVO2 en EVO3 hebben een grotere volume en gaan prima samen met de toename van inlaatlucht na een turbolader upgrade. Afhankelijk van het systeem worden ook de in- en uitlaat diameters vergroot.
Deze intercoolers worden met de benodigde siliconen slangen geleverd.
