The Competition high performance intercooler has the following net dimensions (590mm x 170mm x 100mm = 10,030cm³) and thus offers a 70% larger inflow area and 112% more intercooler volume compared to the original intercooler. The Competition high-performance mesh offers very good cooling properties. The weight of the intercooler is 6.6kg. CAD designed freeform cast aluminum end boxes for best possible internal airflow. Overall, this intercooler has less back pressure than the stock intercooler. In addition, all our intercoolers have anti-corrosion coating with heat conduction properties. This guarantees optimal cooling with a significant increase in performance. Complete ready to install kit,simply replace with stock intercooler - plug and play. The revised Competition Gen.2 intercooler kit for the VAG models with the 2.0T(F)SI 1st & 2nd generation engine. The Competition intercooler has the following mesh dimensions (610mm x 440mm x 65mm / 17.45L), providing a 10% larger flow area and 50% more intercooler volume compared to the original Audi S3 intercooler. The newly developed Competition high-performance mesh still grants enough airflow to the adjacent components, such as the water cooler, and is also very light (S3 OEM 8kg / WAGNERTUNING 9.2kg) . CAD developed freeform end boxes with incorporated cast aluminum air baffle for best possible internal air distribution.The CNC machined hose connections were enlarged to Ø67mm , so this kit comes with matching silicone hoses.Overall this intercooler has far from less back pressure than the stock cooler.In addition, all our intercoolers have an anti-corrosion coating with heat conduction properties. The Competition intercooler has the following net dimensions (640mm x 410mm x 65mm) and thus has 17 liters of external charge air volume (OEM 9 liters). The newly developed Competition high-performance mesh (Tube Fine) grants the adjacent components, such as the water cooler, still enough air flow and is also very light. The intercooler has a total weight of only 8.9kg. The cast aluminum end boxes were created in CAD and optimized for the best possible internal airflow using CFD simulations. An air guide integrated in the end box allows a homogeneous filling of the Competition high performance mesh. The intercooler's inlets and outlets were enlarged to Ø 70mm, so this kit comes with reinforced silicone hoses. Overall, this intercooler has far less back pressure than the stock intercooler.
