COMPETITION INTERCOOLER KIT HONDA CIVIC TYPE R FK8
The WAGNERTUNING high performance intercooler has a new competition net (Tube Fin) with the dimensions 670 mm x 183,4 mm x 125 mm (15.4 liters), which was developed especially for the demands of the Honda Civic Type R FK8. This high performance mesh offers a 91% larger flow area, as well as 140% more mesh volume compared to the original intercooler.
The cast aluminum end boxes were designed in CAD and optimized using CFD simulations (for ideal internal airflow). With the help of an integrated air baffle inside the cooler inlet, a uniform filling of the intercooler is ensured. The result is outstanding cooling properties with minimal backpressure. In addition, the newly developed Competition high-performance mesh still provides sufficient airflow to the adjacent components, such as the water cooler, thanks to the use of a specially manufactured air baffle, and is also very lightweight. Thus, this kit is just right for racing. An optimal cooling of the charged air with a significant increase in performance!
An anti-corrosion coating with excellent heat conduction properties protects the WAGNERTUNING intercooler from any environmental influences, as a result of which a lasting and optimal cooling effect can be guaranteed. The assembly takes place at the original mounting points and is easy to perform (plug and play). All our products are subject to constant qualitative monitoring.

WAGNER Intercoolers zijn leverbaar als Performance en Competition. Het verschil zit in het type gebruikte gaas. Bij de Performance is dat "Bar & Plate" en bij de Competition "Tube Fin".
Daarnaast zijn er nog 3 verschillende volumes: EVO1, EVO2 en EVO3.
EVO1 is ontwikkeld om gebruikt te worden in combinatie met de originele turbolader met als resultaat een zeer efficiënte koeling van de inlaatlucht. EVO2 en EVO3 hebben een grotere volume en gaan prima samen met de toename van inlaatlucht na een turbolader upgrade. Afhankelijk van het systeem worden ook de in- en uitlaat diameters vergroot.
Deze intercoolers worden met de benodigde siliconen slangen geleverd.
