Competition Intercooler Kit Honda Civic Type R FK2 The high performance intercooler has the following net dimensions (650mm x 175mm x 110mm) and thus offers a 23% larger flow area as well as 101% more charge air volume compared to the original intercooler. The newly developed Competition high-performance mesh grants sufficient airflow to the adjacent components, such as the water cooler, and is also very lightweight. The end boxes of the charge air cooler are made of cast aluminum and were optimized under flow analyses in the CAD system. With the help of incorporated air baffles, in the entrance, a uniform filling of the intercooler is ensured. The result is excellent cooling properties with minimal back pressure. Thus, this kit is exactly the right thing for racing. The assembly is done at the original mounting points and is easy to perform(1:1 exchange). The Competition high-performance intercooler has the following mesh dimensions (715mm x 162mm x 122mm / stepped = 12,700cc), providing a 42% larger flow area, as well as 144% more intercooler volume compared to the original intercooler. The Competition high performance mesh is a high quality Tube Fin mesh with internal turbulators. Despite its size, the total weight of the intercooler is only 7.5kg. The end boxes of the intercooler are made of cast aluminum and have been optimized using flow analysis in the CFD system. The intercooler kit was developed directly for the large tuning stages and is therefore optionally offered with Ø60mm piping. The result is excellent cooling properties at lowest backpressure. In addition, all our intercoolers have an anti-corrosion coating with heat conduction properties. This guarantees long-lasting and optimum cooling with a significant increase in performance. Complete ready-to-install kit, simply replace with stock intercooler - plug and play. Tested and pressure stable up to 6 bar. All our products are subject to constant qualitative monitoring. COMPETITION INTERCOOLER KIT HONDA CIVIC TYPE R FK8 The WAGNERTUNING high performance intercooler has a new competition net (Tube Fin) with the dimensions 670 mm x 183,4 mm x 125 mm (15.4 liters), which was developed especially for the demands of the Honda Civic Type R FK8. This high performance mesh offers a 91% larger flow area, as well as 140% more mesh volume compared to the original intercooler. The cast aluminum end boxes were designed in CAD and optimized using CFD simulations (for ideal internal airflow). With the help of an integrated air baffle inside the cooler inlet, a uniform filling of the intercooler is ensured. The result is outstanding cooling properties with minimal backpressure. In addition, the newly developed Competition high-performance mesh still provides sufficient airflow to the adjacent components, such as the water cooler, thanks to the use of a specially manufactured air baffle, and is also very lightweight.
