The newly developed Competition high-performance mesh grants sufficient airflow to the adjacent components, such as the water cooler, and is also very lightweight. The end boxes of the charge air cooler are made of cast aluminum and were optimized under flow analyses in the CAD system. With the help of incorporated air baffles, in the entrance, a uniform filling of the intercooler is ensured. The result is excellent cooling properties with low back pressure. Thus, this kit is exactly the right thing for racing. The intercooler and the original crossmember form a stable unit and weighs only 11.2kg thanks to the new Competition high-performance mesh. Competition's high-quality mesh is a high-performance tubular fin with internal turbulators. Despite its size, the total weight of the intercooler is only 8.3 kg. The end tanks of the intercooler are cast aluminum and were optimized using flow analysis in the CFD system. The result is excellent cooling properties with minimal back pressure. In addition, all our charge air coolers have a corrosion-resistant coating with heat-conducting properties. This guarantees permanent and optimal cooling with a significant performance increase.
