The Competition intercooler has the following mesh dimensions (610mm x 440mm x 65mm / 17.45L) and thus offers a 10% larger flow area as well as 50% more charge air volume compared to the original Audi S3 intercooler. The newly developed Competition high-performance mesh still provides sufficient airflow to the adjacent components, such as the water cooler, and is also very light (S3 OEM 8kg/ WAGNERTUNING 9.2kg) . CAD-developed free-form end boxes with integrated cast aluminium air baffle for the best possible internal air distribution.The CNC machined hose connections have been enlarged to Ø67mm , so this kit comes with matching silicone hoses.Overall, this intercooler has far less back pressure than the stock intercooler.In addition, all our intercoolers have an anti-corrosion coating with heat conduction properties. The newly developed Competition high-performance mesh (Tube Fine) grants the adjacent components, such as the water cooler, still enough air flow and is also very light. The intercooler has a total weight of only 8.9kg. The cast aluminum end boxes were created in CAD and optimized for the best possible internal airflow using CFD simulations. An air guide integrated in the end box allows a homogeneous filling of the Competition high performance mesh. The intercooler's inlets and outlets were enlarged to Ø 70mm, so this kit comes with reinforced silicone hoses. Overall, this intercooler has far less back pressure than the stock intercooler. In addition, all our intercoolers have an anti-corrosion coating with heat conduction properties. This guarantees permanent and optimal cooling with a significant increase in performance.
