TT [8S] 2.0 TFSI 169kw/230HP 2014- The Competition intercooler has the following net dimensions (640mm x 410mm x 65mm) and thus has 17 liters of external charge air volume (OEM 9 liters). The newly developed Competition high-performance mesh (Tube Fine) still provides sufficient airflow to the adjacent components, such as the water cooler, and is also very light. The intercooler has a total weight of only 8.9kg. The cast aluminum end boxes were created in CAD and optimized for the best possible internal airflow using CFD simulations. An air guide integrated in the end box allows a homogeneous filling of the Competition high performance mesh. The intercooler's inlets and outlets were enlarged to Ø 70mm, so this kit comes with reinforced silicone hoses. Overall, this intercooler has far less back pressure than the stock intercooler. In addition, all our intercoolers have an anti-corrosion coating with heat conduction properties. This guarantees permanent and optimal cooling with a significant increase in performance. The assembly is done by replacing the OEM intercooler and is easy to perform. All our products are subject to constant qualitative monitoring. The newly developed Competition high-performance mesh grants sufficient airflow to the adjacent components, such as the water cooler, and is also very lightweight. The end boxes of the charge air cooler are made of cast aluminum and were optimized under flow analyses in the CAD system. With the help of incorporated air baffles, in the entrance, is ensured a uniform filling of the intercooler. The result is excellent cooling properties with minimal back pressure. Thus, this kit is exactly the right thing for racing. The intercooler and the original crossmember form a stable unit and weighs only 11.2kg thanks to the new Competition high-performance mesh.
